Round invites each performer to combine their own unique sounds in real-time with other players, according to several basic guidelines: for each player there are essentially 2 unique sounds, one of these is repeated and transformed into the other. The pace of change is determined jointly, by the players and the sounds around them. The piece will always change in unique ways so that the sounding result of the group will create its own conclusion. I wanted this work to be performable by anyone and to provide an opportunity for everyone to experience music-making as a collective action.
